I first walked into BraveHeart in 2020, just looking to get fit. But, what started as a workout quickly became a life-changing journey. Muay Thai has challenged me, shaped me, and brought out a version of myself I never knew existed. The discipline, transformation, and sense of achievement after every session are unmatched. But what truly sets it apart is the community. Now, my goal is about sharing that experience—helping new members discover what Muay Thai can do for them, both mentally and physically. Whether you’re here for strength, confidence, or connection, I hope they fall in love with it as I did.

OWNER / HEAD MUAY THAI COACH
Ever since I put my foot on the mats it’s become a huge part of my life and although I haven’t been doing Muay Thai for long i’ve thrown myself into it head first, I just love it! And the feeling of fighting is like no other! Although I might look a little serious I am quite approachable and happy to help and pass on my knowledge.
DAMIEN
ASSISTANT COACH
With a deep passion for Muay Thai and over three years of consistent training, I’ve dedicated myself to learning the art both physically and culturally. My journey has taken me around the world, training at various renowned gyms to broaden my perspective and refine my technique. As an assistant coach, I’m committed to sharing that knowledge and experience—supporting others not just in developing their skills, but in finding their own passion for the sport. Whether it’s helping with fundamentals or pushing someone to the next level, I love being part of that process and creating a positive, motivating environment for everyone on the mats.
Toan Nguyen
ASSISTANT COACH
I have been training for over 30 years in a variety of martial arts, and in 2018 went to Thailand for a few months and trained at Sitmonchai Gym, before returning to Australia where I trained at and then assisted at Walton-Legacy Thai Boxing before the pandemic. After I got my master’s degree in social work I moved to Melbourne and trained at Braveheart before moving into an assistant role. I don’t see myself as a fighter, but as a martial artist that enjoys assisting others improve and strive for progress.

In 2023, I started boxing, which opened up the doors to the world of Muay Thai, and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve been enjoying the physical and mental challenges it brings, improving my strength, discipline, and focus.
I’m excited to continue learning and encouraging others to push beyond their limits with the Braveheart team.

MUAY THAI COACH & FIGHTER
I was searching for an effective fighting system, a way to grow my fitness to places i never thought possible. That’s when i came across Muay Thai and i fell in love instantly. Over the past 5 years i gained coaching experience and have fought from interclubs through to pro fighting. I really enjoy teaching and my style is based on discipline, work ethic and pushing yourself beyond what you think is capable.
Alex Friedrich
Kids Coach & Fighter
I have been training Muaythai for 2 years and fell in love with it straight away. After 4 months of training I had my first amateur fight and racked up 4 amateur fights for 4 wins over a year! Last year I made my pro debut and am looking forward to many more.

I’m 19 years old and I have been training at Braveheart Muaythai since they first opened in 2019. I love Braveheart because of the relationships that have been built over the years and it makes training feel at home.
Seb
Coach assistant
I’ve been training Muaythai for just over 10 years now. I represented Australia in the World muaythai games in 2017. Muaythai has taught me a lot of life lessons – nothing comes easy. You need to put in hard work to see results but you also need to believe in yourself. The culture of muaythai is beautiful and the atmosphere at Braveheart is great. I highly recommend anyone to come down and give it a crack.
